ILF Scotland is a Scottish Public Body and distributes annual funding of around £55m to support recipients to lead independent lives. The organisation has a staff team of around 45, who provide award management services for approximately 3,100 current fund recipients.

The Assessor Team are looking for new Assessors to plan, organise and undertake ILF award assessments/reviews based on an outcome focused assessment of need/risk and using a strength’s based approach. The successful candidates will engage and influence Health and Social Care Partnerships and Trusts, social workers and third sector practitioners and provider’s practices and policies. The areas that these Assessors will cover are the West of Scotland and Central Belt.

You will be a Registered Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a minimum of two years in practice. You will bring excellent communication skills, empathy and a calm manner to the team. A holistic approach is required along with the ability to produce detailed reports, work autonomously and independently, making decisions and taking responsibility for individual practice.

Flexible freelance or employed status are available and full and part time hours will be considered. For employed status, 12 month fixed term contracts will be issued in the first instance with the possibility of being made permanent thereafter.
