Full Description

Would you like to join Scotland’s national mental health charity and be part of its incredible growth and success story?

SAMH has been the voice of people most affected by mental health issues in Scotland since 1923.

The charity operates 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health, social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services among others. These services, together with its national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living inform SAMH’s important policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

SAMH’s fundraising began in earnest in 2011 and the achievements and expansion of the charity has since been phenomenal. They are now looking for a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser based in Edinburgh or Glasgow to help them continue this journey. This is a new and exciting role that will support a new national partnership with The Co-op, secured by SAMH and Mind, its partner in England and Wales.

SAMH is the Co-op’s charity of the year in Scotland for 2019-21 and will work closely with them on a number of new initiatives. The partnership launched at the beginning of October 2019. This role will support the delivery of the fundraising stream of this partnership throughout the East of Scotland while account managing other corporate partnerships and driving business development to secure new partnerships.

If you have the skills to build great relationships and thrive in a busy environment where no two days are the same then this could be an ideal opportunity for you. It is also a fantastic opportunity to use your transferable skills to move into the third sector and kick start your charity fundraising career.

There is no need to ‘shop around’ for a more exciting role – it is all there for you! SAMH offer a range of benefits including 30 days annual leave with a further 4 days public holidays, childcare voucher scheme, workplace pension etc. Mindful of their mission they also offer an extensive Employee Assistance Programme which includes a telephone and face to face counselling service.
