Full Description

LinkLiving Scotland are recruiting for a new Board Chair who shares their vision and values.

LinkLiving is a trauma-informed Scottish health and wellbeing charity that supports people of all ages to overcome the negative impacts of trauma, mental health, inequality, and isolation. They are a partner, with independent charitable status, within the Link Group of social enterprises, who together have been tackling injustice and inequality since 1962.

LinkLiving’s philosophy is based on our belief that we all need support at some points in our lives. The organisation recognise that we can all be vulnerable and that devastating and/or life changing circumstances can happen to anyone, at any time.

Currently, the organisation carries out its support across Edinburgh, Fife and Forth Valley but are keen to support people more widely. Support is delivered through a range of models: care at home and housing support; supported accommodation; befriending; social cafes; self-help coaching; and personal development and employability programmes. In 2021-22 we supported 2,000 people.

It is a hugely exciting time for the charity, who are currently working on their new vision and three-year strategy.

LinkLiving are currently looking for a Board Chair who shares their vision and values and who has the energy, passion and skills to drive forward a successful and dynamic future for the charity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of people experiencing trauma and disadvantage. They will have an understanding of the issues faced by the people LinkLiving supports and they will have a good degree of financial acumen.

The Board of Trustees meet six times a year and consists of up to fifteen members.
