The University of St Andrews Students’ Association is a student-led organisation that sits at the heart of the university campus. The Students’ Association is an exciting and dynamic organization with over 9,000 members, committed to providing the best possible experience for students. The Students’ Association exists to make the student experience as strong as it can be, to provide services for students and to represent student views to the University and beyond.

The Students’ Association Board (SAB) is the governing body of the University of St Andrews Students’ Association, responsible for governance, strategic leadership and general oversight of the Association. It is a thirteen-member body with a student majority. The SAB is responsible for maintaining the financial and legal integrity of the Association. It sets the annual budget and determines the long-term strategic direction of the Association.

The SAB are now looking for a Lay Trustee to join their board. The incoming Lay Trustee will be someone with previous Board Chair experience as well as an experience and understanding of Higher Education in Scotland as well as an understanding of finance. Preferably, applicants should also hold a connection to the city or University of St Andrews.
